GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS

Hey :D

Born and raised in Portland! I enjoy mixing traditional and digital art, and I am currently in a long-term committed relationship with my scanner. I bring a positive attitude (and a little bit of whimsy) to everything I do. I am a creative problem solver and a professional at putting out metaphorical (and sometimes literal) fires. Lastly, I'm a lover of parenthesis (can you tell?) …ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐷ

is an art exhibition that explores how engaging with physical media can create meaningful social connections. Sharing a tangible object with someone, like a DVD or mixtape, is a very personal experience. Physical media is a memento of a time in your life: your favorite movie, favorite band, and the friends and family you experienced them with. It’s something that you go out into the world to collect, meet in person to share, and take the time to create. Physical media collection can bring you closer to your community, your friends,
and yourself.

PLEASE STAND BY

The exhibit itself features projected patterns inspired by VHS glitches. These patterns were made with acrylic paint and were given movement in Adobe After Effects. In the process of creating this exhibit, I connected with over 100 physical media lovers who graciously shared their stories. Thank you to everyone who attended the exhibit <3
